The pine belongs to the family of pine plants and comes from Europe. It was named Tree of the Year 2007 in Germany and is the second to most important specie of forest and economic trees, after spruce. The knotty pine can reach a growth height of up to 50 m and a trunk diameter of 1 m. Its veneer is used in the manufacture of furniture, parquet, stairs, wall and ceiling cladding.
