The wood known in this country as acacia is called botanically correct robinia or „wrong acacia“ and its main origin is North America. The robinia often freely grows on European streets, gardens or parking lots and its therefore only limited available. The wood of robinia counts as one of the toughest and most valuable wood species and impresses with its yellowisholive to golden brown colouring. The veener is mainly used in furniture and interior fittings.
