The Lebanon cedar belongs to the family of pine plants and, as the name suggests, comes from Lebanon. It can reach a growth height of up to 30 m and a trunk diameter of 1 m. The tree can also be up to 800 years old. The cedar adorns the flag and the coat of arms of Lebanon as a landmark. In the past, the cedar was used a lot in palace, temple and shipbuilding, but due to the heavy overuse, the stocks have shrunk considerably. The veneer of the Lebanon cedar is therefore only available to a limited extent and is very exclusive. It is used in the interior design of ships and in furniture production.
