The Movingui belongs to the family of Fabaceae and originates from West Africa. It can reach a growth height of up to 25 m and a trunk diameter of 1 m. Occasionally, a coarse to fine-wave dissimilar fibre course occurs in movingue woods, which produces a very decorative bar or moire structure. Another special feature are the striking gloss effects, similar to so-called satin woods. The decorative Movingui veneer is used in the furnishing area, especially in the production of furniture, panelling, doors and also for expansion of business and exhibiton rooms.
