The oak is a genus plant of the family of Fabaceae and originates from Europe. There are over 400 different species of oak. In Germany, Switzerland and Austria is oak the second most common deciduous tree, after beech. It can reach a growth height of up to 50m and a trunk diameter of 2m. The oak veneer is used almost everywhere and is therefore very popular. It is mainly used in the production of living, office and kitchen furniture, as wall and ceiling clothing, for stairs, doors and very often as parquet.
