The orange to dark red-brown colour ingessity and the often occurring dark veins give the wood a very decorative character. In the past, the wood of the Jatoba was widely used in shipbuilding, wagon and vehicle construction. Today it is a popular wood in furniture construction and also for garden and outdoor areas. The veneer is mainly used in the production of seating and small furniture.
