The tulip tree, also called „American whitewood“ belongs to the family of Magnoliaceae and originates from North America. Its veneer is available in different colourings, tulip white-whiter splint, tulip verde-white splint with greenish-olive core and Tulipier purple – white splint with greenish-violet core. The veneer is used for barriers under high-quality and large-area, often polished cover veneers, in North America as cover veneer, partly also stained as well as for joiner and veneer plates.
