Leaves reminiscent of a fig, flowers scented delicately and a bark that exudes a fennel aroma when touched, which is also called the fennel wood tree. The sassafras is native to North America, it can reach a growth height of up to 30 m and a trunk diameter of 1,5 m. The wood of the Sassafras is preferably used for outdoor purposes such as boat, ship, bridge and shipyard construction, as veneer it is used in interior design and in the manufacture of furniture.
